my street. // 6.27.2008

i found this on wooster collective a little while ago and i forgot to post it. this is some street art that starting popping up this past december/january - if i remember correctly. the great thing about it its in my neighborhood (it was all over smith street in brooklyn) one of the interviews even takes place in front of the restaurant i used to waitress at when i was in college. obviously, i noticed the shadows immediately so its really great to hear the back story of the artist explaining exactly what he did, what inspired him and all that. he mentions that the shadows symbolize time, more specifically the passing of time...i thought that was pretty interesting. but, i can't lie the best part by far is the fact that it was on my corner. lol
